Valeria is Italian-Tanzanian and completed her master’s degree in International Affairs and Political Science in Italy in 2016. She has volunteered in Tanzania for a small NGO and worked for a year in Jordan with a local Human Rights NGO. She has experience managing an EU-funded project in Cambodia on sustainable urban planning with the aim to tackle issues related to housing, hygiene and sanitation, waste management, and climate mitigation. She worked with vulnerable and marginalized communities in the capital, Phnom Penh, partnering with the Cambodian local government (the municipality of Phnom Penh and two local government associations), the city hall of Paris, and a French association called the AIMF (International Association of French Speaking Mayors).
She has always been interested and passionate about social injustices and economic inequalities and working in international development and cooperation programs.
She has joined AIGHD as Project Manager and will bring her EU project management skills as well as her collaborative and international experiences.
