I am currently a Senior Lecturer at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, the Postgraduate Lead for Paediatric and Child Health training and a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant. My special interests include acute paediatric care, medical education, qualitative research and quality improvement. I passionately believe that children across the world are the future and that we all have a responsibility to provide them with good healthcare services. Through my work with NEST360 as a Co-PI, I have gained unique insight into the importance of broadening the healthcare team to include biomedical engineers and technicians. I have also developed significant experience into how the quality of healthcare can be augmented and improved through appropriate use of innovative technologies.

In my spare time I love to run, play ultimate frisbee, play music (violin, keyboard and guitar) both for personal pleasure and in a rock band, dance (Appalachian and Morris dancing) and draw.
