Elena Stamatelou works as a Data Scientist at GOAL 3. She designs end-to-end data-driven solutions using the iterative process from the data collection to the development and delivery of a data-driven product.
Next to her childhood passion for math and later engineering, improving and saving people’s lives by being involved in the healthcare sector was a dream of her!
She attended the University of Patras, graduating with an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her thesis topic was on Image Processing and Classification of Holographic Images of White Blood Cells. After her master's, she worked as a Data Analyst at Philips Healthcare.
She later transferred to the Technical University of Eindhoven, where she completed her Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) in Data Science.
In GOAL 3, she uses her Data Science and Electrical Engineering skills for designing and developing algorithms for improving healthcare in low-resource settings.
