Dr. Daniëlla Brals, is a researcher in the field of global child health. She is also affiliated with the Childhood Acute Illness & Nutrition (CHAIN) network. Her most recent work and publications focus on the early detection of children at risk for in-patient or post-discharge mortality in low- and middle-income settings, using both conventional econometric modelling and artificial intelligence methods. Previously she earned Bachelor and Master degrees in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam and she defended her PhD at the faculty of medicine from the University of Amsterdam.
