My name is Daniel Mwale and I have Masters in Public Health from College of Medicine and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Catholic University of Malawi specializing in Social Work. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands in collaboration with Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi. I have a strong interest in research projects and have an excellent profile in social research and health issues. I worked with Malawi Liverpool Welcome Trust, College of Medicine as a Social Scientist and Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs as a Team Leader. I made positive contributions in a number of research projects. I am able to conceptualize research problems, write a study protocol for ethical review, implement the study and report on the study findings. My current work focuses on community systems for maternal and newborn child health with emphasis on barriers and enablers to the utilization of maternal and child health care services. I am hard working, able to work independently or as part of a team within cross-cultural environments. I have a working style that is both adaptive, efficient and continually learning and applying new skills. Furthermore, I am a team leader, team builder, results-oriented, highly motivated, proficient in multi-tasking and have strong writing skills. I am never afraid to take on any challenging task and am interested in global health.
